Wilson, Allison
Allison Wilson is a public health professional with expertise in policy and environmental change. She is a Strategic Initiatives Coordinator at Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) and oversees several cross-collaborative maternal child health and preparedness projects. This includes management of JCPH’s safe Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies (IYCF-E) project, supplies, and trainings, and partnership with a Community Leader who co-created a bilingual training plan. This project has expanded over the last few years into availability as a statewide resource with Rocky Mountain Medical Reserve Corps. Most recently she has expanded her role as Disability Specialist in regard to Access and Functional Needs and Preparedness through a NACCHO Award. She also supports a Community-Led Cooperative who are determining solutions for more equitable lactation access, as part of a previous 5-year Advancing Breastfeeding in Colorado project. Allison holds an MPH degree from Missouri State University and has worked in the public health field for 15 years.
